This kit contains enough material to make 15 one ounce bottles of fresh stannous chloride test reagent for determining the presence of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and iridium in solution. Concentrated hydrochloric acid is also required and is sold separately.
To use stannous chloride test solution simply add a drop or two to a small sample of your unknown metal solution and note the color. Refer to our included instructions for help in identifying what precious metal, if any, is present.
