Our Ethyl Acetate HPLC-UV Grade, is of a chemical grade with highest purity and meets or exceeds purity standards set by the American Chemical Society (ACS). It is the ester of ethanol and acetic acid.

The 99.5% contaminant-free purity of HPLC grade Ethyl Acetate is mainly used as a solvent. In the laboratory, mixtures containing ethyl acetate are commonly used in column and thin-layer chromatography and extractions. It is fairly volatile at room temperature and has a boiling point of 77 °C (171 °F). Due to this, it can be removed from a sample by heating in a hot water bath.

Ethyl Acetate has a characteristic sweet smell and is used in glues, nail polish removers, decaffeinating tea and coffee. Ethyl acetate is the ester of ethanol and acetic acid.
