Our technical grade Chloroform (trichloromethane) contains a trace of ethanol as a stabilizer. It is a colorless liquid with an ether-like odor and a slightly sweet taste. Nonflammable.
Chloroform is a common solvent for alkaloids, fats, oils, waxes, and resins. Miscible with most organic liquids. It is used to make coolants, in degreasing operations, and to bond pieces of acrylic. Also used in the wildlife control industry for safe handling of skunks without them spraying.
For shipping, Chloroform is in hazardous materials Class 6: Poison. It only ships to destinations within the 48 contiguous US states using UPS Ground. A HazMat fee applies. Adult signature required upon delivery. Shipping to a commercial address is suggested.
